CQI-14 training is a hands-on programme built on
AIAG‘s Automotive Warranty Management Guideline, for teams that will apply it.
CQI-14 is a guideline developed to structure warranty management processes in the automotive supply chain and improve field performance. The edition in force is the 4th.
Why does it matter?
Warranty claims are the most expensive and latest-appearing form of quality problems. By the time an issue reaches the field, both the cost and the reputational impact have multiplied.
One of the focus topics of the guideline is no-trouble-found cases. When testing of the removed part cannot identify a problem, cost is incurred but no learning takes place. Analysing these cases is one of the most effective ways of reducing warranty costs.
As vehicle architecture grows more complex, this problem grows with it: the increase in electronic and software content makes it harder to pinpoint the source of a failure.
