My career journey began at METU in Chemical Engineering. It was there that I internalized the process approach and systems thinking. The dozens of certifications I’ve obtained over the years have further supported this.

My relationship with management systems was established not only in theory but also in the field. Over a career spanning more than 20 years, I have approached this discipline from three distinct positions: as an imlementer/manager, as an auditor, and as an independent consultant. Each perspective built on the last. On the inside, moving from engineering roles up to executive level, I saw firsthand how standards translate into practice — or fail to. As an auditor, I measured the gap between documented systems and shop-floor reality. As a consultant, I have spent my time finding ways to close it.
The greater part of my career has been in the automotive and aerospace sectors. AS 9100, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, CQI special process assessments, customer-specific requirements — I have applied these standards on the production floors of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, under real audit pressure. I have also built broad field experience across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 27001, and integrated management systems. I have managed the certification process for dozens of new standards or facilities.
Why I founded Norma Systems
It came down to a straightforward observation: there is a meaningful difference between knowing a standard and understanding what it is actually for. That gap has a direct bearing on whether organisations genuinely benefit from their management systems. Norma Systems was built to close it.
How I work
You start a project with me, and you continue with me. When the scope calls for collaboration — due to demand, location, or specialist expertise — the process does not change: I tell you in advance who will be involved and why, and we agree before moving forward. Accountability is the foundation of this relationship.
